Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 6 November 2026 · Version 1.0 (Republic of Moldova)

This translation is provided for information only; the Romanian version is the authoritative text.

1. Definitions and interpretation

In this document, the following terms have the meanings set out below:

  • “Platform” means the website accessible at padeltour.md and any associated subdomains or applications, through which the Padel Moldova Tour circuit is run.
  • “Operator” means AO „Federația Sportivă Națională de Padel din Republica Moldova” (the National Padel Sports Federation of the Republic of Moldova, FPRM), IDNO 1020620007190, with its registered office at: R. Moldova, Mun. Chișinău, Stradela Angela Păduraru, Nr. 7, Ap 14, the legal person that administers the Platform, identifiable by the contact address: padel.moldova@gmail.com.
  • “Federation” means Federația Sportivă Națională de Padel din Republica Moldova (FPRM), i.e. the Operator, the holder of the Padel Moldova Tour circuit, which uses the Platform to organise and administer the circuit’s competitions, results and rankings.
  • “Circuit” means the national competition circuit Padel Moldova Tour, owned and administered by the Federation.
  • “User” means any natural person with full legal capacity who accesses the Platform, whether or not they are registered.
  • “Account” means the set of login credentials and the profile created by the User on the Platform.
  • “Tournament” means any padel competition of the Circuit, created and administered by the Federation on the Platform.
  • “Content” means any text, image, video, message or other material published by the User on the Platform.
  • “Services” means all the functionalities offered by the Platform, including tournament registration, viewing rankings, communication via chat and profile management.
  • “Data Protection Law” means Law No. 195/2024 of the Republic of Moldova on personal data protection.

2. Acceptance of the terms

2.1. By creating an Account, or by accessing or using the Services, the User confirms that they have read, understood and unequivocally accepted these Terms and Conditions, together with the Privacy Policy and the Cookie Policy.

2.2. If the User does not agree with these Terms, they are prohibited from using the Platform and must delete any existing Account.

2.3. The Operator reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. Amendments will be notified by updating the date above. Continued use of the Platform after the amendments have been published constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

2.4. The Platform is intended exclusively for persons aged at least 16. By accepting these Terms, the User warrants that they are at least 16 years old. Persons aged between 16 and 18 may use the Platform only with the prior consent of their parents or legal guardian.

3. Creating and managing the account

3.1. For full access to the Services, the User must create an Account by providing true, accurate, complete and up-to-date information: full name, active email address, phone number, district (raion)/country, gender, date of birth and playing position.

3.2. The User is solely responsible for the security of their credentials and for all activities carried out through their Account. The Operator shall not be held liable for any loss or damage resulting from unauthorised use of the Account.

3.3. The User undertakes to notify the Operator immediately of any unauthorised use of their Account, at padel.moldova@gmail.com.

3.4. The Operator or the Federation may suspend, block or close the Account without prior notice in the event of a breach of these Terms, fraudulent activity, abusive behaviour towards other Users or any illegal activity.

3.5. A User may hold only one Account per email address. Creating multiple accounts in order to obtain unfair advantages is prohibited and may lead to the deletion of all associated accounts.

3.6. Account approval. Creating the Account does not mean automatic approval to take part in competitions. After sign-up, the profile is checked and approved by an administrator appointed by the Federation, mainly to confirm that the User holds a valid sports licence for the current competition year. Until approval, the Account remains pending.

4. Registering for and taking part in tournaments

4.1. Taking part in a tournament is conditional on the player’s profile being fully completed, on approval of the Account, on holding an active sports licence, on the absence of a Federation sanction barring participation and, where applicable, on payment of the entry fee set by the Federation. Registrations that do not meet these conditions remain on the waiting list until the situation is resolved.

4.2. The rankings and points displayed on the Platform are calculated automatically on the basis of the results validated by the Federation and of the points for external competitions entered by the Federation. The Operator does not guarantee that they always reflect the real-time situation of the competitions.

4.3. Withdrawing from a tournament after the registration has been confirmed may result in the total or partial loss of the entry fee, depending on the specific rules of the tournament.

4.4. The Circuit’s tournaments are created, organised and administered on the Platform exclusively by the Federation, through the persons it authorises. The Federation, as organiser, is responsible for the accuracy of the data entered and for managing the events, results, points and rankings. Sports clubs host the competitions, without administrative rights on the Platform.

4.5. Taking part in tournaments involves accepting sporting risks. The Operator recommends that all players hold appropriate sports insurance and is not liable for accidents or bodily injury occurring during competitions.

4.6. Image rights at tournaments and use in the media.

A. Players registered for tournaments. By creating an Account and by registering for any tournament listed on the Platform, the User gives their express consent that:

  • their image, and the photographs and video recordings in which they appear (individually or in a group) taken before, during and after tournaments – including on court, on the host club’s premises, at ceremonies, prize-givings and interviews – may be captured by the Operator, the Federation, the host clubs and accredited photographers/videographers;
  • these materials may be processed, edited and published on the Platform (tournament gallery, player profile, rankings), on the social media channels of the Operator, the Federation and the host clubs (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, etc.), in press releases, printed or digital promotional materials, newspapers, magazines and any other media intended to promote the sport of padel, the Circuit and the Platform;
  • the licence granted is non-exclusive, free of charge, transferable, sub-licensable and valid worldwide, without time limit, on all channels known now or invented in the future, and includes the right to associate the image with the User’s full name, host club, division, scores and ranking;
  • no additional approval is required for each individual publication, and the User waives any financial or other claim for the use of these materials for the stated purposes.

B. Spectators, companions and any other person present on site. The sports venues hosting the Circuit’s competitions are spaces open to the public on tournament days or in a promotional context. By physically entering the premises (courts, stands, courtside areas, café, reception, car park, ancillary areas) – regardless of whether or not the person is a registered User of the Platform or a registered player – any person present implicitly accepts that:

  • they may be photographed or filmed by photographers/videographers accredited by the Operator, the Federation or the host club, as part of documenting the event;
  • these images may appear in the background of promotional materials, in reports, photographs with players, on-court recordings, footage from the stands or the café, live broadcasts and social media content published later;
  • the resulting materials may be published on the channels of the Operator, the Federation, the host club, media partners and registered players, without requiring prior individual consent;
  • host clubs display visible signage at the entrance regarding audio-video recording and image processing – entering the premises after reading this signage constitutes consent through clear conduct, and the processing is also based on the legitimate sporting and promotional interest, under the conditions of the Data Protection Law.

Persons who do not wish to appear in media materials are required to avoid the areas signposted as being filmed (usually the active court + the official prize-giving area) or to make themselves known to the photographer/videographer present. The Operator, the Federation and the host clubs make reasonable efforts to respect requests notified on site, but cannot guarantee retroactive exclusion from materials already published.

C. Minors. For participants and visitors under 16, consent to the use of their image for media purposes is given by a parent or legal guardian – either by accepting the Terms when signing up to the Platform on behalf of the minor, or through a form signed at the club entrance or when registering for the tournament.

4.7. Withdrawal of consent to the use of one’s image. The User may at any time withdraw their consent to future uses of their image by sending a written request to padel.moldova@gmail.com, marked “Withdrawal of image consent”. The withdrawal takes effect only for the future and does not affect:

  • materials already published on media channels where technical control over deletion no longer lies with the Operator (e.g. republication by third parties, TV reports, printed newspapers);
  • images of a public-information nature relating to competition results (rankings, prize-givings, post-match interviews);
  • materials in which the User appears incidentally within a larger group in which they are not the main figure.

Once the request has been registered, the Operator will make reasonable efforts to remove or anonymise the materials under its direct control (Platform + own channels) within a maximum of 30 days.

4.8. Entry fee and payment methods.

4.8.1. The entry fee is set by the Federation for each division of the tournament and is displayed before the registration is confirmed. Fees may differ from one division to another, and for some divisions or events the fee may be 0 lei.

4.8.2. The fee is paid to the Federation, as organiser, in cash or by bank transfer, to the account and following the payment instructions displayed by the Federation for the tournament concerned. Receipt is confirmed manually by the Federation, and the payment status is then updated on the Platform.

4.8.3. Online card payment is not currently available. Integration of a payment processor from the Republic of Moldova is planned; until it is put into operation, the Platform does not process payments and does not store card data. The conditions for online payment will be added to this section before it is activated.

4.8.3.1. Platform usage fee. As at the date of this version, the Operator charges no fee to players for using the Platform; its amount is 0 lei. The Operator reserves the right to introduce such a fee at a later date, in which case it will be displayed distinctly and in advance, separately from the entry fee, both at the time of payment and by updating this section. No fee may be charged retroactively for registrations already paid.

4.8.4. Where payment is mandatory to confirm participation, an unpaid registration remains on the waiting list, marked “Entry fee not paid”, until the Federation confirms the payment.

4.8.5. Division eligibility conditions. The Federation sets the divisions of each tournament and the conditions for taking part in them (for example gender, level or age). The decision on admission to a division rests with the Federation.

4.8.6. Limited places and waiting list. The number of pairs or participants admitted to a division is set by the Federation. Registrations above this limit are placed on the waiting list, ordered by the points in the division’s national ranking. In doubles, if one of the two players does not meet the participation conditions, the whole pair remains on hold. Paying the fee does not in itself guarantee inclusion in the draw.

4.9. Refund of the fee.

4.9.1. Where applicable, the entry fee is refunded directly by the Federation, in accordance with the competition regulations and by the same method by which it was paid (cash or bank transfer).

4.9.2. Complaints about the collection or refund of the fee should be addressed first of all to the Federation, as organiser, at padel.moldova@gmail.com. Users may, under the conditions laid down by law, contact the competent authorities of the Republic of Moldova.

5. User conduct and user-generated content

5.1. The User undertakes to use the Platform exclusively for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms, the legislation of the Republic of Moldova and the Federation’s regulations.

5.2. The following are strictly prohibited:

  • publishing obscene, offensive, defamatory, racist or discriminatory content, or content that incites violence or hatred;
  • harassing, threatening or intimidating other Users;
  • publishing false or misleading information about identity, qualifications or sporting results;
  • spam, unsolicited advertising or any form of unauthorised marketing;
  • unauthorised access to the Platform’s IT systems or attempting to disrupt its operation;
  • using robots, scripts or any automated means of accessing the Platform;
  • collecting or using other Users’ personal data for commercial or unauthorised purposes;
  • creating fictitious accounts or using false identities;
  • publishing links to malicious websites or content that infringes the rights of third parties.

5.3. The Operator and the administrators appointed by the Federation reserve the right to remove any Content that breaches these Terms or that is considered inappropriate for the Platform.

5.4. By publishing any Content on the Platform, the User grants the Operator a non-exclusive, free of charge, transferable, sub-licensable, worldwide licence to use, reproduce, distribute, display and process that Content for the purpose of operating and promoting the Services.

6. Intellectual property

6.1. All elements of the Platform – including but not limited to the graphic design, source code, databases, texts, images and functionalities – are the exclusive property of the Operator or, where applicable, of its partners, and are protected by copyright and intellectual property legislation. The name and emblems of the Circuit and of the Federation belong to the Federation.

6.2. The User may not reproduce, copy, distribute, sell, resell or commercially exploit any part of the Platform without the prior written consent of the Operator.

6.3. The trade marks, logos and service names displayed on the Platform are registered or unregistered trade marks of the Operator, of the Federation or of third parties. The User may not use these trade marks without the prior written consent of the holder.

7. Limitation of liability

7.1. The Platform is provided “as is” and “as available”. The Operator does not guarantee that the Services will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that they will meet all of the Users’ requirements.

7.2. To the extent permitted by law, the Operator shall not be liable for:

  • loss of data or temporary unavailability of the Platform;
  • inaccuracies in rankings or tournament data entered by third parties;
  • damage resulting from unauthorised access to the User’s Account;
  • the conduct of other Users on the Platform;
  • indirect, incidental or consequential losses of any kind;
  • decisions to take part in tournaments made on the basis of information on the Platform.

7.3. The Operator’s maximum liability to any User, for any cause, is limited to the sum of 0 lei, as the Platform does not collect fees from players in its own name.

8. Privacy and personal data

8.1. The processing of personal data is governed by the Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of these Terms.

8.2. By creating the Account, the User explicitly consents to the processing of their personal data in accordance with the Data Protection Law and the Privacy Policy.

8.3. The User has the right to request at any time access to, rectification, erasure or portability of their data, as well as the right to object to processing, by sending a request to padel.moldova@gmail.com.

9. Third-party services and external links

9.1. The Platform may contain links to third-party websites or services. The Operator does not control and is not responsible for the content, privacy policies or practices of these third-party websites.

9.2. The Platform uses infrastructure services provided by third parties, including Supabase (databases and authentication) and Vercel (hosting). These providers are contractually bound to comply with data security standards.

10. Suspension and termination

10.1. The User may request the deletion of their Account at any time by sending a request to padel.moldova@gmail.com. Deleting the Account does not affect the history of tournament participation, which may be retained in accordance with legal obligations.

10.2. The Operator or the Federation may suspend or delete any Account, with or without prior notice, if the User breaches these Terms or if it is considered that the User’s presence on the Platform is harmful to the community.

10.3. On deletion of the Account, the licence granted to the Operator in respect of the Content ends, unless that Content has been shared by other Users or is necessary for the integrity of the Platform’s historical data.

11. Force majeure

The Operator shall not be liable for the non-performance or defective performance of its obligations where this is caused by force majeure, including natural disasters, pandemics, outages of internet networks or hosting services, acts of the authorities, cyber-attacks or any other circumstances beyond the Operator’s control.

12. Governing law and dispute resolution

12.1. These Terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Moldova and shall be interpreted in accordance with it.

12.2. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be settled amicably. If amicable settlement fails, the dispute shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of the Republic of Moldova.

13. Final provisions

13.1. If any provision of these Terms is held to be void or unenforceable by a competent court, the remaining provisions shall remain in force and fully applicable.

13.2. The Operator’s failure to exercise a right conferred by these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that right for the future.

13.3. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between the Operator and the User regarding the use of the Platform and supersede any prior understandings.

For any questions about these Terms, please contact us at padel.moldova@gmail.com.
